Axel G. Gray, D.V.M.
Dr. Gray graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1984. He and his wife, Becky, opened the hospital in 1990 with one employee. Coastal now proudly employs five doctors and another forty support staff. Dr. Gray has a daughter named Murphy and a son named Rush. He enjoys golf, outdoor water sports and coaching youth sports.
Michael B. Boyarin, D.V.M.
Dr. Boyarin is a University of Florida graduate, class of 1992. He joined our staff following graduation and has a special interest in orthopedic surgery. Michael enjoys golf, fishing, boating and following Gator sports.
Dr. Courtney Cone-O'Brien, D.V.M.
Dr. Cone graduated from the University of Georgia in 1995. She is originally from Charleston, SC, and has been at Coastal since 1996. In December 2002, Dr. Cone completed advanced courses in veterinary acupuncture and veterinary chiropractic. She enjoys equine sports, and currently shows her horse in dressage.
Scott M. Jacobs, D.V.M.
Dr. Jacobs joined our staff as an associate veterinarian upon his graduation from the University of Georgia in 1999. His veterinary interests include general medicine and ultrasound technology.
Jenna M. Castner, D.V.M.
Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Castner completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Florida in 2003. After graduation, she completed a small animal internship in surgery and internal, and emergency medicine at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital in Denver, CO. She joined our team at Coastal in September of 2004.
In April of 2008, Dr. Castner completed veterinary acupuncture coursework and became certified to add her knowledge to our Alternative Medicine program.
Zachary K. Bissell, D.V.M.
Dr. Bissell graduated from the University of Florida in 2004. After practicing locally for a few years, he joined our veterinary staff in May of 2008.
