Dr. Nicole Martens is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for pets and the people who love them.
Originally from the Midwest, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. Prior to and throughout veterinary school, Dr. Martens worked in a variety of small animal veterinary assistant and technician roles, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing a solid foundation in patient care. Following professional school, she spent a year working with horses in South Florida, where she expanded her clinical experience in equine medicine. In August 2026, she relocated to Jacksonville to join the team at Coastal Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Martens is passionate about preventive medicine, client education, and helping animals live healthier, happier lives through every stage of life. She enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and partnering with pet owners to ensure their companions receive the best possible care.
Outside of work, Dr. Martens loves spending time outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and biking, as well as riding her motorcycle and traveling whenever she can. She is also devoted to the arts and enjoys photography, playing the piano and French horn, attending concerts, and exploring art museums.
